Hilton’s first lifestyle hotel in India brings Malnad warmth, thoughtful design and genuinely memorable hospitality to Whitefield.
Some hotels are simply places to stay. Others make you feel looked after from the moment you arrive. Slohh by Roach, the new Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in Whitefield, belongs firmly in the second category.
From the warm welcome in the lobby—fragrant jasmine in the air and a beautifully refreshing coconut-and-curry-leaf cooler in hand—there is an immediate sense that this hotel wants to do things differently. It feels considered, relaxed and personal, a world away from the polished but predictable cookie-cutter format that has long defined so many city hotels.
Slohh by Roach marks the debut of Curio Collection by Hilton in India and South Asia as well as Hilton’s first lifestyle hotel in the country. Developed with Bengaluru-based Roach Lifescapes, the 221-key hotel brings a deeply local sensibility to one of Bengaluru’s most important business and technology districts.
Its inspiration comes from the coffee estates and residential heritage of Karnataka’s Malnad region. The interiors trace the rich life cycle of the coffee bean, with soft whites and warm browns deepening into chocolate tones, offset by dusty pinks and rust. Natural materials, pitched roofs, carved details and soft lighting create spaces that are stylish without feeling overly designed. There is an inviting sense of nostalgia here—the sort that makes you want to settle in rather than simply check in.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, with modern fittings and thoughtful accessories that make a real difference to comfort. Many open on to balconies with views of Varthur Lake or the city skyline. The suites go a step further, particularly the expansive Malnad Presidential Suite, which has separate living and dining spaces that echo the generous ease of a plantation home.

Food is clearly at the heart of the Slohh experience. Nana’s, the all-day restaurant, serves a wide-ranging menu that moves confidently between Malnad specialities, regional Karnataka flavours, comforting Indian dishes and global classics. The cooking draws on family recipes and techniques passed down through generations, and there is a warmth to the offering that feels true to the hotel’s larger story.
Breakfast is especially good. Alongside an extensive spread of local and international favourites is a generous selection of dishes made to order—ideal for guests who prefer something freshly cooked rather than another anonymous buffet plate. It is the kind of breakfast that encourages a second coffee, a slower morning and perhaps a delayed departure from the table.

The drinks programme deserves a mention too. Arthur’s Piano Bar adds a more intimate, convivial note to the hotel, with a setting that is made for lingering over a well-made drink. Across the hotel’s social spaces, a retro-tinged soundtrack of jazz, R&B and timeless classics adds to the easy ambience without ever competing for attention.
For those seeking a reset, the spa is superb. Along with a hammam, temperature-controlled outdoor pool and 24-hour fitness centre, it gives the hotel a genuine wellness dimension rather than treating it as an afterthought. Whether you are travelling for work or slipping away for a weekend in the city, these are the kinds of spaces that make a stay feel restorative.
Slohh is also equipped for celebrations and business gatherings, with The Banyan, a 5,000-square-foot pillarless ballroom that can accommodate up to 600 guests, alongside meeting rooms, a boardroom, bridal suite and beauty salon. But the hotel’s real strength is its ability to feel intimate despite its scale.
In a city that is always in motion, Slohh by Roach offers a welcome invitation to slow down. It is design-led, yes, but also warm. Sophisticated, but never stiff. And, most importantly, it has service that feels genuinely caring. A wonderful addition to the Hilton family, it proves that a global hotel brand can still deliver a stay with personality, individuality and a true sense of place.
